{"id":652,"date":"2020-11-19T22:58:44","date_gmt":"2020-11-19T22:58:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.swanseawriterscircle.co.uk\/blog\/?p=652"},"modified":"2020-11-19T22:58:53","modified_gmt":"2020-11-19T22:58:53","slug":"the-dai-lemma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swanseawriterscircle.co.uk\/blog\/the-dai-lemma\/652\/","title":{"rendered":"The Dai Lemma"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Billy and his gang were at their Headquarters in the park.&nbsp; It was in the middle of a huge bush, where the Park-keeper, nosey old Mr Davies would not be able to see them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Huw Parry had arrived last incognito.&nbsp; He wore a big black coat and sunglasses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gladys Morgan had been temporary enrolled as an honorary member as the boys needed a girl\u2019s perspective on their problem.&nbsp; Owen Davies sat drumming his heels on the park bench that he had \u201cborrowed\u201d for the meeting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCome on Billy, spit it out, I have n&#8217;t got long, I told my mum I\u2019d do my homework before tea.\u201d Billy whinged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOK, I\u2019ll come to the point.&nbsp; Have any of you heard about some bloke called Dai Lemma?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNever heard of him, he\u2019s not in our school.&nbsp; How old is he?\u201d &nbsp;asked Gwyn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not sure, probably about the same age as my sister, fifteen going on eight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIs he good looking?\u201d Gladys asked, hoping for some new talent to arrive on the scene soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Billy glared at her, because he always thought she was hanging around for him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cLook, all I know is that he keeps on visiting our house, Mam\u2019s always saying it\u2019s a right Dai Lemma, and every time she says it, my sister bursts into tears.&nbsp; She\u2019s keeping me awake half the night with her crying her eyeballs out, I can hear her through the walls.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gladys, sensing the situation needed some women\u2019s insight asked Billy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHave you asked her why she crying?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t be daft, she pretends I don\u2019t exist, and I thought, maybe, possibly you could speak to her?\u201d&nbsp; asked Billy pleadingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOkay, I\u2019ll try but you owe me big time Billy Thomas.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>A few hours later\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve found out what the problem is, you sister\u2019s up the duff\u201d explained Gladys and before she could say anything else and explain about the dilemma, Billy jumped up and shouted<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s all that Dai Lemma\u2019s fault, he must have been seeing her while I was at school, where\u2019s my catapult?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Billy\u2019s sister, hearing the commotion from the living room, came out to find out what was happening.&nbsp; Gladys, after giving her a big wink, explained that Billy wanted to sort Dai Lemma out for getting her pregnant.&nbsp; Hiding her laughing face from Billy, she told him that she was proud to have him as a brother and standing up for her, but there was no longer any need as it had all been sorted out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Billy and his gang were at their Headquarters in the park.&nbsp; It was in the middle of a huge bush, where the Park-keeper, nosey old Mr Davies would not be able to see them.
