Rose settled into her nest, another busy night, sighing as she turned to the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lily poked her head up: ‘Hard night Rose. You wouldn’t believe it. I had to rummage under the bed to find the tooth, all those dust bunnies\u2019 bits of food. It was disgusting’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Marigold piped up: ‘Last time that happened to me there was a mouse there, eyeing me up.’ Gasps from the girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lily shuddered: \u2018What did you do?\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018Chucked a bit of biscuit at it, grabbed the tooth and scarpered.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hyacinth joined in. \u2018I had a fright not long ago when a dog came sniffing around sucked me halfway up his nostril. Thankfully it tickled his nose, he snorted and blew me across the room,\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Rose replied, \u2018Maybe we should ask for danger money?\u2019 Nods all round. Marigold retorted, \u2018I was nearly squashed when the child had the tooth in his hand, had to scratch him to let it go. I was reaching for the tooth when his hand closed, trapping me. Luckily I managed to wriggle free.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018Why can’t they just put them under their pillow the way it’s always been,\u2019 sighed Rose. \u2018Children don’t believe. They have become cynical. I had to sprinkle sleeping dust on one occasion as the girl wouldn’t go to sleep. She had the tooth on her side table.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hyacinth agreed: ‘Heard one child asking their parents for more than sixpence as there was inflation to take into account .Dreadful.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
