He\nheld a butcher\u2019s knife in his hand and was ready to cut away his shame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIf your\nright eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lust. The\nshort coming of all men. Drooling gluttonous, shameless lust, caused by the\nenemy between their legs. Even the strictest monks still fell victim to the tumour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>He could\nremember, back in simpler times, when he felt no stirring in his loins, no\ndesire to cloud his mind, for he was once an innocent cherub, untouched by\nlust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But he awoke\none morning, shocked to find his thighs trenched in a foul slime, worst then\nshit or piss. He cried out for his mother and to his horror the disease worsened.\nCancerous sours broke out over his face, his voice once an angelic soprano crumbled\ninto a nasally baritone. His armpits soon reeked a sickening odour, and worst\nof all the monster attached to his hips, grew bigger and hairier, demanding his\nattention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBut I say\nunto you, that whoever looks at a woman with lust has already committed\nadultery in his heart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That was his\nfailing. A prayer to God, promising virtue but in a bolt of morel weakness he\u2019d\nclose his eyes, picturing actresses and models to sate his thirst. The\nresulting explosion of bliss was followed by overwhelming shame and impending\ndamnation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enough was\nenough, it was just that the hand that held the knife wavered for he dreaded\nthe pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe spirit is willing,\u201d he recited \u201cbut the flesh is weak.\u201d<br> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No more\nsuffering, no more sin, he would cut out the disease and no longer be a man but\ninstead an angel, freed from a desire that could never be satisfied or tamed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCastration\nis liberation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He thrust\nthe knife down hard. So hard as to slice through meat and bone as easily as\nthin air. He howled, almost relishing the pain as the enemy went numb and\nseparated from his body. Pressing his mutilated crotch to the stove he screamed\nagain as the wonderful sensation of shearing flesh, confirmed that his bleeding\nwound had healed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCelibacy is\npurity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ah, the\nbliss of an approving conscience. No more would he pollute himself over vile\nphotos, no more would he salivate over passing women. He was no longer a\nservant to the beast but a devoted follower of virtue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He held in\nhis hands, the offending creature, the number one culprit of countless\nsuffering in the world.
